"We are happy to learn that four of our home health providers have earned recognition in the 2007 HomeCare Elite," Scott Herman, president of Girling's Home Health Division, said. "In the past year Harden acquired both Auxi Health and Girling Health Care, and has been excited to extend its continuum of care to include high quality home health services by providers such as these."
Harden Healthcare acquired Auxi Health in June, 2007, as an extension of the company's post-acute continuum of care aimed at meeting the needs of the aging baby boom generation. Auxi Health is headquartered in Austin and includes home health operations in Texas, Iowa, Missouri and West Virginia. In Missouri, Auxi Health operates as Missouri Home Care.
In November, 2007, Harden Healthcare acquired Girling Health Care. Founded in 1967, Girling Health Care has home health operations in Florida, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. The company, which will remain headquartered in Austin, is in the process of combining the management of operations with Auxi Health.
